Dwell on Design; America's Largest Design Event

Nicole Hopper Interiors recently attended the largest design show in the US, Dwell Magazines "Dwell on Design" show at the Los Angeles convention center. The latest design trends in home finishing's and modern fixtures were on display at the event.

"I came down to the show hoping to see, touch and experience all the latest trends in home finishings, and was not disappointed," said Nicole Hopper, Interior Stylist of NHI.  The "Brizo Faucets booth really was pleasing and pretty, drawing me in," added Nicole Hopper.

Above all, NHI was most impressed with the painting demonstration by renown artist and friend to Dwell Magazine, Donald Robertson (at the Signature Kitchen Suite booth).  "Something about the creativity combination of the painting and the creativeness that goes into home fininhsings really was compelling," said Nicole Hopper.

All in all NHI was excited to view the newest trends in home finishings from faucets to wall paper, from bathtubs to lighting.  But most of it did not come as a surprise: "We see quite a bit of new construction, touring homes in the Seattle area often, and we were proud to say our Seattle area builders and designers are really on top of the latest, happening trends. Most of what we saw at the show, we have seen in local home construction," Nicole Hopper said.  For instance, Hopper mentioned the faucets from modern faucet manufacture and designer Brizo were seen on the 2016 St. Jude Research home in Bellevue, Wa by builder John Buchan Homes.  "We first saw the Brizo Artusso faucet last year (on the John Buchan built home for St. Jude) and it really stood out as a statement piece in the kitchen," stated Hopper.

Attending shows like this is just another way that NHI keeps up on design trends, keeping on the cutting edge of what is happening in this fast changing world of modern design.
